Call for actors for Dillinger reenactment on October 10

Calling all would-be actors!  Calling all history fans! Bluffton Ohio Historical Society is asking for volunteers to take part in a unique, one-off reenactment of the day Dillinger’s gang robbed Bluffton’s bank.

Fred Steiner has written the script. Kevin Gratz will be the chief narrator. 

Now we need at least 14 volunteers to play the parts of Dillinger’s gang and key eyewitnesses, to stand where they stood and act out (when needed) what they did on the day. (Very few have any spoken part.)

When: October 10

Where: In front of Citizen National Bank, at the intersection of Cherry & Main Streets

When: Around midday, timing to be determined

How long: 30-minute play

What will I have to do? If you’re one of Dillinger’s gang, you’ll need to wear a three-piece suit and straw hat and hold a gun. If you’re an eyewitness, then you’ll need to stand at a particular spot as the narrator tells what happened. And a few parts require a bit more movement, but little to no lines.
